My name is DAMON L. HOBDY,
I have been practicing Criminal and Family law for 28 years, dedicated to defending and helping my clients navigate the legal system. I have handled over 100 felony jury trials, including capital murder, sex crimes, and violent offenses, and have represented families in divorce, custody, and support cases.
My experience extends to appellate advocacy, where I have successfully overturned unjust rulings. Recognized for my legal expertise, I have been appointed by the Courts to handle high-stakes criminal cases and high conflict family law cases and have practiced law in California and multiple other States.

Practice Areas
I have defended clients in all types of criminal cases, including capital murder, attempted murder, sex crimes, robbery, carjacking, drug offenses, assault, and misdemeanor cases. I have handled over 100 felony jury trials and have been appointed by courts to represent clients in capital murder cases. I practice in Federal and State Courts, representing clients beyond California in Washington D.C., North Carolina, Nevada, and Oregon.

I help families resolve legal matters, including divorce, child custody, child support, and contempt cases. Courts have appointed me to represent clients facing jail time in contempt proceedings, and I have a published opinion with the 2nd District Court of Appeals. I have handled family law cases across California and beyond.

I have successfully argued cases before the Courts of Appeal in both criminal and family law matters, resulting in the reversal of rulings that were initially against my clients. My appellate work allows me to challenge unjust decisions and fight for the best possible outcomes, even after an initial ruling has been made.
